Red Sky at Dawn in Ballybrit
Birds on the street eat litters breakfast buffet
The crows and jackdaws take to the sky in fright
Seagulls braver are tardy to flee
Being more brazen so easy dont take fright.
Darkness quick has fled to bed
The waking sun paints a crimson sky
– “A Shepherds warning” the wise of old said –
As I to work I walk on by.
