At the Occupy Dame Street protest in Dublin

Occupy Dame Street was one of a few grassroots activists movements of protest against the austerity regime, and while in Dublin I called by and stayed a while at the camp outside the Central Bank on Dame street, before meeting the writer Roibeard McElroy.

I have written extensively on the austerity issue, with my verse “OCCUPY!” in direct support of the movement.

However, the guards moved in eventually and the movement petered out, surpassed by the mainstream CAHWT, which became the Right2Change movement.
