Enda and Angela and the Apple of Eden
Enda was hungry having thrown his food away
Angela was giving him nuts and berries every day
But it was not free, the food he did lack
He had to give it all, and as much more back!
Adam lay hungry under a tree
That bore the biggest juiciest Apple Angela ever did see
“Why dont you eat that, you know that you could
It will do you know harm, you must”, she said, “you should!”
Now Enda remembered his Catechism and the Genesis tale of woe
Being a good Catholic boy and a son of Mayo:
“I will not, I am not Adam”, at Angela he did shout
“Eve told Adam to bite Apple, and they both from Eden got thrown out!”
