Rocking the cradle of genius
\nIs not a wise thing to do,
\nIf you rock it too hard
\nIt will be because of you
\nThat from its cradle small
\nGenius fell to its fate,
\nAnd never to be known to the world
\nWas something the world would think great.<\/p>\n

A lamp is lit not to be hidden
\nA lamp is lit the way to view
\nTo cover a lamp if its lit,
\nIs a foolish thing to do.
\nFor the covered flame it will starve
\nFor it needs fresh air about
\nIts burning wick to keep burning
\nOr the blaze will go out.<\/p>\n

So when you dismiss a friend for being talented
\nOr because of something they’ve tried
\nYou struck a blow at their spirit,
\nA little of which will have died.
\nAnd should the light of their spirit die,
\nAs the covered lamps flame,
\nWhen they ask who murdered their genius,
