Lillith<\/a><\/strong> is the legendary first wife of Adam, who escaped Eden using the ineffable name of God. She is said to be a demon since that takes babies in their first week or so. With the rise of abortion being promoted as a feminist principle to defy the rule of men, we wonder should Lillith be the patron of abortions too? As with modern feminist anger at misogeny and the use of abortion as a tool to stop the sexual and personal control of women by controlling men, we wonder if men were not fitting that role in the past centuries would we have such a controvesy now, and if Adam had been kinder on the first night would Lillith not have stayed with him? <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lilly of the darkness hours!,
\nProtect all newborns from she
\nWho flies to strangle or to take
\nThose who of their first week be…<\/p>\n

Demon mother of the skies
\nChildren from her: God taken
\nSeeks revenge on all mankind
\nWhose infants will not waken
\nFrom their innocent slumbers
\nShe steals their souls in their sleep:
\nLord, on the them have mercy
\nSafe from Lillith, infants keep!<\/p>\n

But Lillith, hungrier, yet more evil now
\nFrom the womb rips them before first breath
\nThis is the dawn of the modern age
\nWhen wits and will against each other set.<\/p>\n

Could Adam back on their first night
\nNot have ceded the respect but it not share?
\nThe pride of man is equal to rage of woman in sin
\nIn the suffering it causes to all others there…<\/p>\n
