{"id":526,"date":"2012-03-11T22:24:20","date_gmt":"2012-03-11T22:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/writingsinrhyme.com\/?p=526"},"modified":"2014-09-06T22:26:54","modified_gmt":"2014-09-06T22:26:54","slug":"we-reap-what-we-sow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/writingsinrhyme.com\/index.php\/we-reap-what-we-sow\/","title":{"rendered":"We Reap What We Sow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&quot;We Reap What We Sow&quot; - One Year On\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TE-1Ig-FZpw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The recent nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan in the wake of the recent earthquakes and tsunami shows what folly man has to think that he can contain forever and in all eventualities the power of nuclear energy.<\/p>\n<p>No one thought of the force of a tsunami wave breaking the cooling system on the nuclear power plant, the subsequent meltdown and the global nuclear crises since.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A world in horror<br \/>\nLooked as millions just perished<br \/>\nNeath a mushroom cloud<\/p>\n<p>Civilians must die<br \/>\nDecree generals high to save<br \/>\nTheir soldiers lives<\/p>\n<p>That was then: Japan<br \/>\nRose from the ashes again<br \/>\nLeader of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Far away Ukraine<br \/>\nFifty years later they saw<br \/>\nNuclear catastrophe<\/p>\n<p>But not act of war<br \/>\nSo feared at the time, rather<br \/>\nThe folly of man<\/p>\n<p>Who thought he&#8217;d contain<br \/>\nThe force of nature too strong<br \/>\nWhen atoms are split.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty five years passed<br \/>\nJapan the theater again<br \/>\nFor mans arrogance<\/p>\n<p>Tsunami came strong<br \/>\nBroke up the cooling system<br \/>\nDisaster strikes.<\/p>\n<p>Man gauged for all things<br \/>\nBar power of big waves<br \/>\nAnd pipes frailty.<\/p>\n<p>And through arrogance<br \/>\nAnd folly that man is strong<br \/>\nHe will soon perish<\/p>\n<p>You do not play God<br \/>\nWith what you cannot control<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t play with fire child.<\/p>\n<p>For all of your brains<br \/>\nYou are but a child, a fool<br \/>\nWhen compared to God.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The recent nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan in the wake of the recent earthquakes and tsunami shows what folly man has to think that he can contain forever and in all eventualities the power of nuclear energy.
