I head to Belturbet for the night<\/p>\n<p>These are waters from Lough Gowna<br \/>\nAgainst my boat which flows<br \/>\nMy forefathers farmed the fields<br \/>\nBeside and watered by waters such as those.<\/p>\n<p>It is but water, yes, but these waters<br \/>\nAre like the blood in our veins that flows:<br \/>\nA history, and identity some want to keep, more to forget<br \/>\nFor the reasons each person themselves best knows.<\/p>\n<p>The salmon swims back to where it was spawned,<br \/>\nThis is as far up the Erne in this boat I can go,<br \/>\nI dip my hand in cold cold water,<br
