Ma is a decade gone this year, dad dying prior by a couple of years. Their anniversary occurs around Sammhain, a fortnight apart. We remember them on the week in between.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A nice time of year to go –
\nSo long ago, like yesterday –
\nWhen the veil of life was at its thinnest
\n(As our people used to say)
\nWe like to think in musing thought
\nHe came back from the other side
\nTo take her in hand to bring her over
\nWhen she a decade ago now died.<\/p>\n

Years slip away, the passing time,
\n“Its as natural to die as it is to live”
\nSo they used to say when pondering death…
\nMay God their sins and errors forgive,
\nAnd forgive ours too for all are human…
\nAll will in our time death face,
\nWe all, we believe, shall meet again…
\nJust hope its in the better place!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
