From Corrib Watch to some local families, the stories of those saved are heartening.<\/p>\n<p>Mental Health is a current issue, and prevention is better than cure, and Samaritans hold a key part of that supportive service.<\/p>\n<p>I always love to help with mental health charities, having supported events before for<a href=\"https:\/\/writingsinrhyme.celtichosting.com\/index.php\/piecing-together-the-jigsaw-for-mental-health-in-offaly\/\"> JIGSAW<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/writingsinrhyme.celtichosting.com\/index.php\/edgeworthstown-exhibition-aids-pieta-house\/\">Pieta House<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Other Acts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can sit down and enjoy the other acts &#8211; I wont spoil the plots &#8211; with another two fellow writers from Longford Writers Club having pieces featured &#8211; with Maggi doing her own piece!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width: 47%; padding: 0 10pt 0 0; float: none;\">\n<p><strong>The Play<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It has been an ambition of mine to get something on the stage for a number of years, and I have been wanting to write of the life of the Longford gangster and moll Chicago May, but to get one scene to base on proved a challenge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>I may do that yet.<\/p>\n<p>So, the story of Lapot &#8211; said to be practiced years ago by Slav Serbs in Serbia, and some say still today by Serb Roma of Kosovo caught my imagination.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 47%; padding: 0 10pt 0 0; float: none;\">\n<p><b>The Reading<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Seeing and hearing the reading of the play online was a surreal experience.
