There are those who say that prayer is dead
\nIn the Ireland of today
\nWhere rationalism and science of modern times
\nHas swept faith and piseogs away.<\/p>\n

But no, among the people here
\nTo spite clergy and hierarchies crimes
\nThere’s no faith in them, but there is faith
\nAmong the faithful in there challenging times.<\/p>\n

In the wake of abuse and cover ups
\nThe hierarchy has lost its moral voice to speak
\nYet still the faith itself hangs on
\nThough most say it is weak…<\/p>\n

You find its strong among common people
\nWho are assembled anywhere
\nYou find they still say and have regard
