When Niall the Third was of Ireland High King
\nThere came underneath his reign
\nFor the freedom of the clans of Ireland
\nA time of battle with the Dane<\/p>\n

And amidst the battles fray
\nBy the Callan rivers bursting banks aflow
\nA soldier was swept away
\nTo save his life, comrades were sent to go<\/p>\n

But quicker then the soldiers proud that he sent
\nHe himself swam him to save
\nThe waters for the warrior king was too strong
\nThe waters now is his grave!<\/p>\n

A heroic death of a king
\nWho died to save the lowest soldier of all
\nLike Christ died sinners to save
\nWhat a noble death to which a warrior can fall!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
