{"id":3924,"date":"2017-08-31T14:54:43","date_gmt":"2017-08-31T13:54:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.writingsinrhyme.com\/?p=3924"},"modified":"2017-08-31T14:56:47","modified_gmt":"2017-08-31T13:56:47","slug":"donkey-innovation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/writingsinrhyme.com\/index.php\/donkey-innovation\/","title":{"rendered":"Donkey Innovation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The donkey of the whip was tired<br \/>\n Bringing its cart and load from A to B<br \/>\n A way out of its horrific life<br \/>\n It sought and could not see. <\/p>\n<p> Its master, he would have its will<br \/>\n The journey would enjoy<br \/>\n The donkey beat, would work and sweat<br \/>\n Under the cruelty the owner did employ. <\/p>\n<p> So one night beneath the stars<br \/>\n The donkey thought &#8211; dangerous thing for a donkey to do &#8211;<br \/>\n As the sun rose and the moon set<br \/>\n The donkey saw its world with eyes anew. <\/p>\n<p> No more to the master will would it pull the cart<br \/>\n Being clever, and a donkey using its head<br \/>\n It would be stubborn, set its hooves in the dirt<br \/>\n Until allowed to push the cart instead. <\/p>\n<p> So it was let, its owners bemused<br \/>\n Who whipped it more, till its load was brought and gone<br \/>\n The donkey, bore the pain getting its will<br \/>\n Perspired, more tired, laboured on. <\/p>\n<p> The owner still the journey enjoyed<br \/>\n Thought the donkey a little bit odd<br \/>\n Loaded it more, whipped it more again<br \/>\n Cursed it to the saints and God. <\/p>\n<p> I need a new donkey the farmer thought<br \/>\n I will bring this one to the fair<br \/>\n Told all of the trick it done of pushing the cart<br \/>\n No one wanted it there. <\/p>\n<p> Home again, the sun set and moon rose again<br \/>\n The donkey to its fate resigned<br \/>\n Let slip a tear unseen in the driving rain<br \/>\nBrayed as if it did not mind&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.writerscafe.org\/uploads\/rte\/89acb40f9da796f2d35360e201556f4b.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The donkey of the whip was tired Bringing its cart and load from A to B A way out of its horrific life It sought and could not see.
