Freedoms cries brought the statues down
\nThe Reich lay in ruins as a new regime
\nPromised freedom of a version of the west or east
\nBetter than what before had been.
\nYet some still were kept behind bars
\nWhose lifestyle the world still disapproved
\nThe uniforms changed but little else
\nSo to those of the Pink Triangle time proved.
\nThe Stars and Stripes and the Southern Cross
\nFlew where the Swastika has flown before
\nAs blacks at home knew little else
\nAnd hoped for little more.
\nThe Western Dream, the Eastern struggle
\nLike David and Goliath to battle set
\nOn Cuban shores Arameggdon set the scene
\nAs the world looked on with baited breath.
\nGoliath in the battle stood aside
\nCapitaism put on her skimpies robes
\nGoliath was soon eating from her hand
\nSeduced by the money and the light strobes.
\nBut everything free comes at a cost
\nShe who gives must be paid
\nKnown by all men who the bordello visit
\nWho with the seductress have laid.
\nTo pay her demands they taxes their own
\nProduce more and live on less
\nWe must pay Capitalism’s due as is the way of the world
\nWe must pay the seductress Miss West.
\nThe stautes of Hitler town down
\nWere replaced with those of the new regime who must
\nBut up new Gods in a land of no Gods
\nTo believe in or to trust.<\/p>\n

Freedoms cries brought the statues down
\nFor all the world to see
\nCapitalism and the stars and stripes
\nStill stood those of General Lee
\nThe families in the tower blocks
\nWho queued for food not there
\nThought of a better tomorrow
\nWhen there was money to spare.
\nConfederate flags and the stars and stripes
\nBoth screamed America
\nTo a world which saw the two levels of freedom
\nShrugged its shoulders with a mere “yeah”
\nThe free folk fled in their droves
\nTo lands where they could earn more
\nTown and counties emptied of youth
\nThat were teeming before
\nRap music to a sullen youth played
\nThe world danced along to the tune
\nThe stars and stripes and the Saltire flew
\nUnder the all seeing Moon.<\/p>\n

\nLive, all all the world saw
\nA wold destroyed to build it up
\nIn a campaign of shock and awe
\nThe fools cry like a torn cloth
\nTore through the middle East
\nProved itself worse than what was before
\nLike some mythological beast.
\nThe stars and stripes and confederate flags
\nWere on the sides of Jeeps
\nThe sullen youth more vocal now
\nStand up, as violence steadily creeps.<\/p>\n

Freedoms cried brought the statues down
\nAs folk stand idly by no more
\nThe Confederate flag is shown for what it is
\nAs some aim to return to the America of before.
\nIn the east of Europe the widow queues
\nAmong full shelves with empty pockets
\nSteals what she needs to last the week
\nAs the nation spends money on hosting rockets.
\nThe smoke is still to settle on the Middle East
\nKorea’s rockets are pointing West
\nThe statues coming down are America’s
\nWho has failed justice’s test.<\/p>\n

What it demanded for others denied to its own
\nIs not by its own demanded
\nThey will fight for their rights against the right

\nStand for the freedoms denied by the Southern Cross
\nStand for their rights under the Stripes and the Stars!
\nThe statues of all tyrants will come down
\nHistory and time have shown
