The Bastille stormed, and those who died
\nOn the streets for the cause of freedom…
\nWas it worth it when it was seen
\nWhat became of their dream?<\/p>\n

They dreamt in hovels, in shacks, then rose:
\nAs one in great revololution…
\nTheir lives they lost as their battle was won
\nBut fate was to dole out retribution…<\/p>\n

The dream they made was crude displayed
\nAs bad as what they destroyed before…
\nThe reality but a shadow of what they fought for
\nIn their hovels they dreamt once more…<\/p>\n
