Fishing Boats at Galway Docks<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Its spoke no more on boggy field
\nBy peasants who live under roofs of thatch
\nWho smoke piped tobacco and drink buttermilk
\nAnd prepare for eating their modest catch
\nAnd call it a feast fit for kings
\nWhen with potatoes it adorns a plate
\nWith cabbage during the season
\nEach man solemnly does state
\nThat seas so high are to be sailed
\nAs mountains are there for men to climb
\nAnd god made the sea for men to sail
\nAre sure as he made the time…<\/p>\n

A language lyrical spoken by all
\nUpon another day
\nA time before the days of now
\nAll things are of a new way
\nBut the sea still takes its toll
\nOn the simple fishermen afloat
\nBe it a currach or a trawler tall
\nTo the sea its but a boat.
\nThe lapping of the waves the same
\nAs are with high winds its mighty roar
\nThe boats are different, better now
