Black Swan on the Claddagh<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Black Swan on the Claddagh, not native to here
\nIts here a few weeks since it first did appear
\nIts in from Australia, no one knows how
\nIt got to the Claddagh where it swims now.<\/p>\n

Maybe it came by Quantas, we do not know
\nOr stowawayed in a ship that over oceans did go
\nHow ever it came here its doing all right
\nIt swims without bother among the local swans, all white.<\/p>\n

If only us humans could be like the swan
\nThe hatred, the hassle, the horrible attitudes gone!
\nThis is the world for which most of us yearn
\nAlas its the case few of us ever learn.<\/p>\n

As the swans swim together under the Wolfe Tone bridge above
\nShowing the nature of nature is peace and is love
\nAlas on the bridge walls is the sad sorry site
\nOf racists logos and slogans that some fool did write.<\/p>\n

Mosque attacked by stones as the faithful worshipped inside
\n– Without issue both black and white swans swim in the tide –
\nTwo sides of Galway, two sides of today…
\nLets hope that tomorrow we live the swans way!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
