Tragic and horrific as the findings in Tuam are… they will prove to be the tip of the iceberg.
De Valera and those like him did not build an Ireland for those who lived outside the given norm, the underclass and the social misfits were not part of his vision, as they did not fit in.
Their babies fitted nicely in a septic thank though…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

That Ireland that he dreamed of

The comely maidens behind the walls
\nTheir babies to the highest bidders for sale
\nThese are the ones not they didn’t speak of
\nWhose children to homes across the Atlantic set sail.<\/p>\n

Those children left? Starved in a land of plenty
\nTo be buried in a septic tank
\nAll the children treated equal bar those he didn’t think of
