An exasperated Irish taxpayer writes a letter to Santy, as it will bring more change than writing to Enda Kenny asking for fair play for the Irish taxpayer and mortgage holder!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dear Santa, I am a taxpayer, Im been good throughout the year,
\nIve paid up all my taxes, and did not cry a tear,
\nI attended no protest marches, did not riot in any Dublin street
\nI cannot understand Enda Kenny’s spite and conceit.
\nHe holds the strings to my life, Im a puppet, he controls the purse,
\nCondescendingly thanks me and my kind for taking it, says hes glad it isn’t worse,
\nBut the big bankers\u00c2\u00a0 and the corporations, who pay more all know they could,
\nThey don’t because they do not have to, even though they know they should.<\/p>\n

So, all I want for Christmas, is a meteorite to hit the D\u00c3\u00a1il,
\nWipe out all the cowboys, in Fine Gael and Fianna F\u00c3\u00a1il,
\nA plague to strike the bankers, yes, a smite direct from Gods hand,
\nFor every chancer and mover and shaker who makes more than a hundred grand,
\nFor you cant make money like that honestly, only if your a crook,
\nThe biggest ones wear suits, not masks, they rob by the law and book,
\nThey laugh at us, demand bailouts, a figure picked up from their arse,
\nThey need their comeuppance, who reduced this nation to a farce.<\/p>\n

The crime of owning your own home, they taxed us for the pleasure,
\nAs if it was an extra, like a holiday or fancy second car for leisure,
\nThey dont see that home owners save the state at least a hundred grand,
\nThink we’re arrogant for housing ourselves, and for it they will not stand.
\nEvil alliance between Tory’s and more of a strange shade of Red,
\nOne hates little people having any, the others want all dependent on the State instead,
\nBoth reduce people to serfdom, whether to Councils or Landlords,
\nThe former cripples further the state, the latter only the rich rewards.<\/p>\n

Im a grown man, you ask, why write to Santa Clause?
\nAnd as I sign off on this letter, to ponder why I pause,
\nWell, I know since I was a kid, that Santas is not as such real,
\nAnd yet, he is my only hope, that is true, I feel.
\nSure didnt we believe the politicians promises, now broken, that make us curse,
\nInstead of making things better, they made the flippan worse…,
\nSo, I sign off my letter to Santa, throw it up the chimney with a prayer,
\nWhich is as effective as writing to a TD, who for me and my problems does not care!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
