\nCatholic, Protestant, Dissenters together,
\nTo break the link with England.<\/p>\n
They made their stand, stood together brave,
\nOn blood soaked Dublin streets
\nHopeless effort for a hopeless cause
\nTheir only prize their own defeat.<\/p>\n
An army proud in uniform,
\nWith barracks that marched to drum
\nStood idly by when homes were burned
\nClaim from his tradition to have come.<\/p>\n
Nyeucks became men, and men heros,
\nAn army of commoners and angry men,
\nProved a hopeless case is a worthy cause
\nAs they took up arms again.<\/p>\n
For thirty years, long and hard they fought
