Only in Longford!!!<\/address>\n<p>It rains so much in Longford,<br \/>\nIt was as if another Flood was to be&#8230;<br \/>\nBut one brave soul inspired by Noah<br \/>\nStated prepared for the flood he would be&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd some looked on in wonder&#8230;<br \/>\nMore thought he was having a Lark&#8230;<br \/>\nYet the Miracle floated on Water&#8230;<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s known as&#8230; The Longford Ark!!!<\/p>\n<p>He didn&#8217;t have to gather the animals,<br \/>\nThey came to him instead,<br \/>\nNot the big and the graceful<br \/>\nBut the insects, and bugs from the bed&#8230;<br \/>\nA pair of woodlice set up home in the timbers<br \/>\nA pair of beetles in the planks<br \/>\nAnd the bumblebees lived in the top level<br \/>\nAll the others nicknamed them &#8220;The Yanks&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>There was a housefly and his companion<br \/>\nSettled on the upright poles real snug<br \/>\nAnd on the underside of the top level,<br \/>\nLived a pair of snails and a lone slug.<br \/>\nThe slug, she was to fast for the fellas,<br \/>\nShe left them behind in a trail of slime&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd should the flood come they will be drowned,<br \/>\nFor the crime of taking their time.<\/p>\n<p>The rain for the summer abated,<br \/>\nIt seems the risk of the flood this year is not to real&#8230;<br \/>\nSo Noah is taking his chances&#8230;<br \/>\nHas put the Ark up for sale on DoneDeal<br \/>\nFor five hundred Euros you can own it&#8230;<br \/>\nYour very own Ark &#8211; a two story raft&#8230;<br \/>\nWith a caravan on the lower deck for a cabin&#8230;<br \/>\nIf you don&#8217;t mind sailing around looking a bit daft!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>http:\/\/www.donedeal.ie\/windows-for-sale\/boat\/5856940 This is a real advertisement from Donedeal&#8230; inspired the doggerel verse below.
