So when folk asked to get a rise out of them I came up with the following story &#8211; the amount of folk who thought it was true always makes me smile! So I thought Id make a rhyme out of it&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When I was a young boy<br \/>\nI started into school<br \/>\nThe teacher asked me my name<br \/>\nI looked at her like a fool<\/p>\n<p>Is it Tommy, is it Tomsheen?<br \/>\nI looked at her like a gomb<br \/>\nIs it Thomas, is it Thos<br \/>\nIs it Tomeen or is it Tom ?<\/p>\n<p>I answered not, so then she said<br \/>\nWhat does your mother normally call ya<br \/>\nWithout a blink, not wanting to tell a lie<br \/>\nI answered&#8230; &#8220;Ya little bastard ya!&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We lived next door to the school. All the schoolkids gathered outside our house to wait for the bus.
