Willie Rimes was drinking the health of Saint Patrick
\nAnd a show of himself he made
\nWhen he decided to become the grand marshal
\nOf the local St Patrick’s Day parade.
\nThe fact there was one already
\nDid not deter him one bit –
\nHe saw it an injustice that he was not asked:
\nAnd would do something about it!<\/p>\n
The parade came down the street
\nWhere Willie was drinking in a pub
\nHe heard the pipes, and abandoned his pint
\nSet to avenge the snub
\nHe let the first few floats float on by
\nAnd then got in on the act
\nHijacked a lorry carrying a float of dancers
\nDown a side road drove and into a wall whacked<\/p>\n
He ran up then after the parade
\nChased by members of the NYPD
\nWho broke of from the marching band
\nTo assist the local Guardai
\nSt Patrick – or the guy dressed up as him
\nWas robbed of his cloak, hat and gown
\nThe bould Willie dressed up as him
\nWith a headbutt knocked the poor man down!<\/p>\n
He was last seen racing towards the front of the parade
\nWhether he made it or not I dont know
\nBut from what I heard he was a disgrace
\nAnd of the town he made a show.
\nNow Id had a lot to drink myself that night
\nSo I went of to get a sleep
\nFor it is hard for a security guard
\nAwake at work to keep!<\/p>\n
And so I awoke in a cold cold sweat
\nAnd strange as it did seem
\nI could not figure out was it a memory of the day before
\nOr a horrific and horrible dream.
\nSo I looked it up on the internet
\nNo account could I see
\nBut there are some that say today
