Together we fought as Irishmen
\nAgainst the classes and the Crown
\nAnglo, Scot and Gael together
\nWe fought and won, took an Empire down<\/p>\n

Traitors to our class and country
\nWho of their heritage like to brag
\nWho betray that heritage with every law they pass
\nAre not fit to fly the Red Flag.<\/p>\n

They stand by as banks evict families
\nInstead of restarting the Land Commission again:
\nIs it all right to put Irish to the roads
\nAs long as your not Protestant or Englishmen?<\/p>\n

Blind to their folly and unapologetic
\nThey pay their taxes they claim
\nInsult the working working classes
\nWhe they spill their bile at and aim.<\/p>\n

Most of the protesters I stand in ranks with
\nMost today have a job
\nMany two or more to make ends meet
\nMaking a lie out of the words from this fools gob.<\/p>\n

The folk I meet who DO have no issue with austerity
\nThink they have the system sussed
\nWork and sign or don’t work at all as you please
\nState will provide housing and healthcare, they are nonplussed.<\/p>\n

Those of us who do work and pay the taxes
\nOr who have no work but would work if work was there
\nHave issue with bank bailouts, evictions and cutbacks
\nWe who pay for our country about it we care.<\/p>\n

So smug Seaneens who call us thrash
\nWe are the folk who for freedom faught
\nYou are the “Faithful” who worshipped the Crown
