the kingdom needed<\/p>\n<p>Being of one deep of faith well known<br \/>\nAnd being the wife of the Lord his own<br \/>\nHer concern to him having shown<br \/>\nTo do so the Lord permitted<br \/>\nThinking that it she would not do<br \/>\nAs to do so she would rue<br \/>\nBut little the determination of his wife he knew<br \/>\nWho the deed committed.<\/p>\n<p>And the towns people drew their shutters<br \/>\nAs around her token deed plans passed via mutters<br \/>\nShow respect for her honour, the people utters<br \/>\nAnd away from windows and doors keep.<br \/>\nBut in the town there lived a tailor<br \/>\nTom, his name, who would fail her<br \/>\nAnd so we know him today for<br \/>\nThe fact that he did peep.<\/p>\n<p>Her husband had to her in to give<br \/>\nOr the shame down he&#8217;d never live<br \/>\nThough for her boldness he&#8217;d not forgive<br \/>\nUntil the day he died and was gone.<br \/>\nAnd in Coventry by the Forest of Arden old<br \/>\nTo this day, they commemorate the lady bold<br \/>\nWho rode naked through town her man to hold<br \/>\nTo his word the taxes to reduce to a fair one<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lady
