The cat wanders where it will
\nThe time and its prey to fill
\nWhen of it and you its had it fill
\nIt goes its merry way.<\/p>\n

The dog it follows: its that they do
\nSeeks to please and be pleased by you
\nIts abilities are many: its needs are few
\nTo be loved: to eat: to play.<\/p>\n

We are like them, the dog and the cat
\nSometimes like both, depending where we are at
\nWe are but mere creatures seeking comfort for all that
\nMankind thinks himself, and yet:<\/p>\n

For all that we think we, that we are we claim
\nIt seems bizarre: its such a shame
\nWe treat those we seek as partners the same
\nYet don’t understand the needs of each pet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
