A poet writes his words that will
\nBe read by someone who does not care
\nAnd thinks it odd these rhyming lines
\nThat his flowing pen laid there
\nBut he cares not and keeps on writing
\nAs surely as the grass will grow
\nAnd as sure as we pull up the grass as a weed
\nSo indifference to our poems our readers will show…<\/p>\n

It is all for little that we poets write
\nBut our craft we enjoy
\nAnd so by day and by night
\nOurselves with pen employ
\nKnowing that after out time
\nThough nobody may care
\nWe on a page our words have left
