Cairn Hill and Shanmullagh Hill in Longford<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The latest of the restored poems to the website, from a couple of years back<\/address>\n

Upon that hilltop he does sleep
\nHis spirit on all below does keep
\nWatchful eye on cattle men and sheep
\nWhere the Black Pig its Dyke deep ploughed.<\/p>\n

From there in the dark and distant past,
\nCheese as assassins weapon at Maeve he cast
\nSlew here, avenged his mothers death, the legend does last
\nWhere worship of old gods was not allowed.<\/p>\n

This valley in its time with blood ran red,
\nSome say it would Colmcille said
\n– More state that was other places instead –
\nAs I walk among a crowd…<\/p>\n

A crowd of folk who are no longer here,
\nCannot be seen, do not appear,
\nI know not they’re there, I feel no fear
