Menhirs of Carnac<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The men who built them long are dead
\nAnd they are standing still
\nIn ranks, files and circles
\nAnd after our time they’ll be until
\nNatures movement of the earth
\nOr the folly of man
\nShall undo what they did create
\nBefore writing began
\nTo allow man to design
\nAnd therefor to scheme
\nAnd schedule a structure
\nTo bring alive a dream<\/p>\n

In a time before machinery
\nBefore the written word
\nStones sources, sunk and standing still
\nIt to me seems absurd
\nThat today we build constructions
\nWith the best materials, in the correct way
\nAnd all to often they fall down
\nWithin their builders day.<\/p>\n

We know not what these stones were there for
\nTheir meaning we can only guess
\nBut their construction outlasted their time
