{"id":1413,"date":"2013-07-16T14:15:01","date_gmt":"2013-07-16T14:15:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.writingsinrhyme.com\/?p=1413"},"modified":"2015-01-24T14:16:26","modified_gmt":"2015-01-24T14:16:26","slug":"gardener-philosophers-discuss-gardens-of-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/writingsinrhyme.com\/index.php\/gardener-philosophers-discuss-gardens-of-god\/","title":{"rendered":"Gardener Philosophers Discuss Gardens of God"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_2606\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2606\" style=\"width: 229px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2606\" alt=\"Ive never been the best of gardeners... and yet may be the best of all, for who are we to change the plans of nature?\" src=\"http:\/\/www.writingsinrhyme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Edenmore-Garden-at-Ballinamuck.jpg\" width=\"229\" height=\"387\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2606\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ive never been the best of gardeners&#8230; and yet may be the best of all, for who are we to change the plans of nature?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Gardeners two, to each other spoke, over the garden wall,<br \/>\nOne whose garden was lovely and neat, the other bare attended at all.<br \/>\nWhich one was the better, they debated hard and long,<br \/>\nThe neat one claimed his was better, the other bade him that no, he was wrong.<br \/>\nThe neat gardener he said cleanliness next to Godliness it was:<br \/>\nHis garden was clean, he was no sloth, because<br \/>\nOf that, he and his garden was more in Gods plan&#8230;<br \/>\nStill contradicted he was by the other man&#8230;<br \/>\n&#8220;To be Godlike is to do as God does&#8221;, said he<br \/>\nOn that point the both men did agree,<br \/>\nTo change or fault what God would do,<br \/>\nIs ungodly &#8211; on that point they agreed too.<br \/>\nAnd if you don&#8217;t serve God, you serve the Devils will<br \/>\nStated the untidy gardener, and waited until<br \/>\nThe tidy gardener said please explain,<br \/>\nOr baffled at your thinking I will remain.<\/p>\n<p>The sight and plans of man are not of God,<br \/>\nThe cut lawn and the ploughed sod<br \/>\nThat looks to clean and tidy to the human Eye<br \/>\nIs lot the plan of God what pleases us, it does deny<br \/>\nThe plan of God&#8230; it was He who planted the weeds,<br \/>\nLook everywhere at Gods plans and deeds:<br \/>\nThey are where man has not farmed,<br \/>\nBuilt upon, polluted, or otherwise harmed&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The gardeners, friends, smiled and parted,<br \/>\nThe tidy gardener heavy hearted,<br \/>\nThe untidy gardener light hearted inside,<br \/>\nThe tidy gardener recognised the sin of pride,<br \/>\nUnderstood why in his trees few birds would nest,<br \/>\nHis neighbours, teeming, was tended the best,<br \/>\nBy being left to the tender green fingers of God,<br \/>\nWho unseen and allseeing, agreed with a nod!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gardeners two, to each other spoke, over the garden wall, One whose garden was lovely and neat, the other bare attended at all.
