Some folk plan for ages to do a book. Talk lots about it.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, others come and put put books and leave the talkers in the shade.<\/p>\n

I am the talker.<\/p>\n

One who has left me in the shade, Im glad to report, is fellow Tullamroe Rhymer Richard Brennan<\/b> whose slim volume of poetry as he calles it, titled “The Gathering Rush<\/b> is being launched tonight in Tullamore<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The venue is the Offaly Crafty venue, in the former Kilroys, a pop up shop for those active in the arts in the county.<\/p>\n

Richard has form in supporting local artists, him being the founder and curator of the SCRATCH Gallery in the library in Tullamore a couple of years back.<\/p>\n

The book contains all of my favourites from him, and read as good from the page as they do to hear him read them out loud.<\/p>\n
