From Tara, where expanse can be seen,
\nFrom the Irish sea, to the Shannons water
\nExpanse of the Kingdom of Royal Meath
\nWon by the Ui Neill by battles slaughter
\nIt was a sacred place before their time
\nIts energies aligned with stars and sun
\nWeakened now in these modern times
\nWhere we as a people to scoff at such have begun…<\/p>\n

From the ground they trickled pure, the Wells of Tara
\nOf the White Calf, and the desirable waters, the others not so,
\nSt Patrick’s, another was named in time
\nIt had a different name, long long ago…
\nI walked those earthworks: what remains
\nWatched motorcars drive the path once walked by kings
\nMarveled at the educated ignorance of man
